Dear Riley,

I wanted to be a paleontologist because I love making new discoveries. I am fascinated by treasures found in the earth. I like to find out where they came from and how old they are.

To find bones, I study. I also talk to people to see if anyone has seen where fossils may be in the earth. That's why I went to Montana. Did you know many dinosaur fossils have been found in North America? You can find fossils by looking in a guidebook for good places near where you live!

Here is a good website - http://www.emerson.k12.nj.us/staff/rmkelly/Custom/Classwebpages/DreamBig/GroupB/JobPages/Paleontologist/BPaleontologist.html. I'm sure you can also find some good websites.

Thanks for writing to me, Riley! You are a smart student!

Sincerely,
Mr. Bones
